There is something for everyone: rest and relaxation, health and wellbeing, as well as a vast assortment of outdoor sporting activities. It is hard to find an area as geographically privileged as Trentino. It is endowed with a variety of outstanding natural resources: lakes, streams, waterfalls, woods, meadows and above all fascinating mountain ranges. Among them, the incomparable majesty of the Dolomites, which in 2009 were added to UNESCO’s World Heritage List.

Three natural parks lie in the region which offer exciting outdoor activities, educational workshops and a chance to learn about nature preservation and eco-sustainability. If you are looking for intimate contact with the mountains, there are various mountain paths with breathtaking views along with numerous mountain bike trails. Bikers can choose among 400 km of bike paths. If you are looking for a health and wellness experience, look no further than the Health Circuit, which includes eight thermal spas in the Trentino region – among which the Levico and Vetriolo Spa Centres – each with its own curative mountain spring water.

The region’s calendar is full of exciting high-level sporting events and cultural activities: “Sounds of the Dolomites“, a summer music festival high up in one of the world’s most beautiful mountains; various museum initiatives (among which the Mart – Museum of Modern and Contemporary Art – one of the most important Italian contemporary art museums); and additional programs focusing on the richness of the province’s historical artwork.

This short description cannot overlook enogastronomy, yet another abundant resource evident throughout the province. A wealth of exquisite wines, charming restaurants and local delicacies all distinguishable by their high standard of authenticity, excellence and quality which characterize the region. Highlight your vacation by taking the not-to-miss gastronomic tour along the “Strada di Vino e dei sapori” (The Roads of Wine and Flavours) that winds through the Adige valley.
